1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, registering as a free agent or team, or using the International Video Game League (IVGL) platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Registration Fees

Monthly Registration Subscriptions

Free Agent registration: $1.00/month
Team registration: $5.00/month

The registration fees charged by IVGL are not entry fees for specific tournaments, nor are they prize-pool contributions. Their purpose is to ensure the platform maintains a high quality of service and continues to expand its features over time.

Specifically, your registration subscription helps IVGL:

Maintain reliable infrastructure, security, and support for the community;
Verify participants and keep the competitive environment fair and trustworthy;
Develop new features, tools, and tournament capabilities for players and teams;
Expand the platform to support more games, regions, and competitive formats.

3. Subscription & Billing

Registration fees are billed as recurring monthly subscriptions through our payment provider. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period.

A paid registration is required for a free agent or team profile to appear publicly in the IVGL directory.

4. Crowdfunding & Prize Pools

IVGL facilitates community crowdfunding of tournament prize pools. Contributions made to a tournament's prize pool are separate from registration fees and are governed by the tournament's own rules. Prize payouts to verified winners are subject to the winner-verification process administered by IVGL.

5. Prize Payouts

All tournament winners will be paid out within 3 to 7 business days following verification of results. These transactions are handled manually to ensure security and accuracy. As a result, payout times may vary from near-instant to the full 7 business days. The applicable transaction fee (5% for prize pools under $1,000 USD; 10% for prize pools of $1,000 USD or more) is deducted from the payout to cover transaction, server, and maintenance costs.

Team Captain Responsibility. For team-based tournaments, the team captain (or designated representative who submitted the registration) is solely responsible for requesting withdrawals and receiving prize payouts on behalf of the team. The captain is further responsible for dividing and distributing winnings among the team's players as seen fit by their own personal agreements. IVGL is not a party to any internal team arrangements and bears no responsibility for how winnings are shared between teammates.

6. Match Recording & Disputes

At least one player per team — or both participants in a one-versus-one match — must screen record each match in the event that participants disagree on the winner when submitting results. IVGL reserves the right to review the recorded footage and issue the final verdict on any disputed result. Decisions made by IVGL based on this footage are final.

7. User Conduct

You agree to use the platform respectfully and lawfully. Harassment, cheating, fraud, or any attempt to manipulate registrations, contributions, or match results may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

8. Changes to Terms

IVGL may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
